Privacy Policy
Effective June 15, 2026
Stellar Software LLC ("we", "us") built Breeze to give you beautiful, accurate weather. This policy explains what data the app uses, why, and your choices. We designed Breeze to collect as little as possible.
Information we use
- Location. With your permission, your device location (or a city you search for) is used to fetch the local forecast, radar, and alerts. Location is processed to deliver weather and is not sold. Precise location is sent to weather data providers only to return your forecast.
- Saved places & preferences. Cities you save, chosen backgrounds, units, and settings are stored on your device (and in your private iCloud where applicable).
- Camera & photos. Only if you choose to attach a photo to a community weather report or use augmented-reality features. Photos you submit to community reports are associated with that report.
- Device identifier. A random identifier is created on your device to support optional social features (profiles, groups) and the referral program (to credit the inviter and prevent abuse). It is not your name or Apple ID.
- Advertising identifier (IDFA). If you consent via the App Tracking Transparency prompt, our advertising partner (Google AdMob) may use your IDFA to show more relevant ads and measure them. If you decline, you still see ads, but non-personalized ones.
- Diagnostics. Basic, non-identifying technical logs may be used to keep the app and its servers reliable.
Third-party services
- Apple WeatherKit and other weather sources (e.g. NOAA/NWS, Open-Meteo, RainViewer and public radar networks) provide forecast, alert, and radar data.
- Google AdMob serves ads in the free tier. See Google's Privacy Policy. EU/UK users are shown a consent form before ads load.
- Apple processes in-app purchases and subscriptions (Breeze Pro). We never receive your payment card details.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not track you across other companies' apps and websites unless you grant tracking permission for advertising.
Your choices
- Change location and tracking permissions any time in iOS Settings.
- Subscribe to Breeze Pro to remove ads entirely.
- Request deletion of any server-side data tied to your device identifier by emailing us.
Children
Breeze is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.
Data retention
On-device data remains until you delete the app. Server-side data tied to social/referral features is retained only as long as needed to provide those features.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by a new effective date on this page.
